If so, do you know how it fits into the newest freestyle point system?

I am considering starting the new program (Lost 50lbs on the Smart Points, but gained 20 back.), but want to continue Shakeology, as it is helping with my gut health, as well as other things. I just don't want to do WW if a shake will cost me too many points.

Thanks for any help you can provide! (Yes, I will be researching things this week, but just wanted to ask this one question to those who might know.)

I can't answer your question but if you're interested in an alternative to Weight Watchers, check out the podcast Losing 100 lbs. No counting calories, no points, no foods are off limits, no special supplements necessary, etc. It's learning how to eat based on physical hunger, and deal with emotional eating and overeating. I've lost 15 lbs so far and I LOVE this program. Every day is practice at getting better and it's really nice to not stress about the holidays when it's a typical time for emotional/overeating.

The WW app shows a scoop of Shakeology powder is between 3-5 points depending on flavor. You get 23 points with the new program, so that seems very doable.

I've been following macros, and do not have an issue with emotional, or overeating. I've maintained over the last year, but want to start losing again. I know WW works for me, and know how to follow it, so want to try the new program before looking into anything new.

Makes sense! I've heard great things about Shakeology.

Just like the previous systems your points are determined by your age, height, and current weight. You may have more than 23 points per day, that is just the minimum. I have 50 points per day. But either way 3-5 points for a shake seems like it would fit into the plan easily.

Everyone's points are different.  I get more points than 23.  It's dependent on age, gender and current weight.

Sorry, that's correct you could get more than 23 points...that's the new minimum with Flex Points. But, I'm assuming since she mentioned wanting to lose 20lbs that she would get around 23 points.

I have 23 also. I would be happy to use a handful of daily points on something that I like, especially if it helped other issues (your GI). But only once a day. I much prefer to eat my points rather than drink them. 23 goes pretty fast; I've cut out all my chips and crackers and cookies because I just don't like to see my points go for those foods.

How often will you have a shake? Just once a day?

Yes 🙂
